Hi Beauties! I’m so excited for a new season but the transitional period between Winter and Spring can be a little confusing when it comes to getting dressed. I found the perfect pieces from Nordstrom to take you into next season! :) The weather is usually unpredictable and sometimes more chilly in the morning than the afternoon. I’ve got a few early Spring secrets that will not only keep you warm when needed, but will also brighten up your wardrobe in the best way possible. Keep reading for 5 ways to transition your wardrobe from Winter to Spring!
1. Strategic Layers
Layering is still appropriate as we transition from Winter to Spring! Make sure you have your layers on for chilly mornings, and be ready to take them off once it’s warmed up in the afternoon. A trench coat is a nice medium layer for this transitional time of the year while still being seasonally appropriate. It’s not too heavy but keeps you warm while it’s chilly outside!
2. Light Wash Denim
Lightening up your denim is a good first step to transition into wearing more Spring colors. A light wash or white pair of denim jeans will give a more Spring feel to your outfit! This is always my first step to switch up my outfits at the end of January when I’m slowly getting into the Spring feeling.
3. Spring Colors and Prints
Start to steer away from the darker colors! Instead, incorporate Spring colors and prints into your cold weather looks. Think of the colors that remind you of Spring. Whites, creams, blushes and nudes can be incorporated into your coats and sweaters.
4. Boots and Midi Dresses
Wearing high knee boots or over the knee boots with a lighter weight spring midi dress is the perfect mix of Winter and Spring. Adding boots to a Spring look is totally appropriate and on-trend during this transitional time. It’s also a favorite of mine!
5. Chunky Sweaters and Skirts
I love the look of a chunky sweater with a midi skirt! This is the ultimate Winter to Spring look. It’s a good mixture of the two seasons while keeping you warm on the colder days!
I hope this gives you some early Spring inspiration to start adding to your wardrobe!
With love,
Leena
