Hi Loves! I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and we are only a few weeks away from baby day, God willing! I cannot believe we are almost there! I thought I would give you a little update on how I’m feeling at the end of my pregnancy!
With my bump bigger than ever and the weather getting hotter by the day I have been living in maxi dresses and slide on sandals! I found this jersey maxi dress from Walmart and I absolutely love the modest fit! It is hard to find jersey dresses that are not a body-con fit so that’s why I love this one! Check out Walmart for more affordable maternity styles here! I also linked a bunch of my fave pieces at the bottom of this post!
I was nervous for a few weeks that my baby wouldn’t turn head down (she had been transverse/sideways for weeks!), but thankfully I found out last week that she is finally head down! I have been going to the prenatal chiropractor, walking, doing hip opening stretches on the bouncy ball, and doing lots of other exercises to get the baby to turn! I am so happy I don’t have to stress about that anymore!
As many of you may know from following me on Instagram and YouTube, I have been nesting and prepping for baby since I was about 5 months pregnant. At this point, I think I wore myself out because all I want to do is sleep! This week I have been extremely exhausted and am taking naps during the day which is very unlike me! I am also officially waddling and starting to feel very uncomfortable! I hope I don’t have to wait much longer to meet my baby! Whenever she’s ready, I’m ready. :)
I am starting to feel very emotional thinking about meeting my baby for the first time. In my first few deliveries as an L&D nurse, I actually cried because of how emotional and beautiful the experience is for the mom! After a while, you have to separate yourself emotionally because you are responsible for making sure mom and baby are safe and healthy. It is going to be so different being in the patient’s shoes. I feel so much more mentally prepared for labor having L&D experience, but I’m still anxious to see how and when it is all going to happen! Whoever said the last month of pregnancy feels like 9 months was totally right!
With Love,
Leena
